The new leadership of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Gombe State has has sent a warning message to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) of it’s eminent doom in the build up to the 2027 general elections.
The party, which declared it’s loyalty to the Senator David Mark led National Executive of the party, said Gombe ADC is now a single, unbreakable family.
A release sent to our Correspondent by Nathe Kirya, the Party’s head of Media Directorate, quoted the State Chairman, Hon Keftin Amuga saying, “Any attempt by ‘political jobbers’ or expelled elements to create factions is an exercise in futility. We are no longer a ‘third force’, we are the only force for the people of Gombe”.
Hon Amuga also warned that, “I am here to lead a revolution of the ballot with the wisdom of Senator Idris and the administrative energy of Dr. Gana, our march to 2027 is unstoppable”, he declared.
The party said it has launched a massive state-wide Strategic Digital Membership Drive led by Dr. Gana, the Party’s Secretary. “we are launching a massive state-wide digital membership drive across all 11 LGAs—from Akko and Yamaltu-Deba to Nafada and Shongom—to build a modern, credible database of 500,000 members”, it declared.
The new party leadership also assured a radical, transparent and Accountable leadership that will restore trust by ensuring every party decision and resource allocation is open to scrutiny, ending the era of “secret” political dealings.
“We will ensure the “Bottom-Up” Economic Blueprint by Prioritising social protection for small-scale farmers, rural women, and the vulnerable who have been abandoned by the current administration’s failed economic policies.
“Inclusive Institutional Strengthening by Promotion of 35% affirmative action for women and dedicated quotas for youth under 40, ensuring the next generation of Gombe leaders is prepared today.
“Zero-Tolerance Security Advocacy by Aligning with the national ADC directive to designate banditry and kidnapping as acts of terrorism, demanding an uncompromising response to protect every Gombe citizen”, the party promised.
The ADC believes it is now the definitive vehicle for the liberation of the State from years of systemic neglect adding that the movement operates under the unified command and strategic guidance of it’s State Leader, Distinguished Senator Abdullahi Idris Umar (former Minister of Transportation).
“His vision for a broad-based coalition has turned the ADC into the official platform for all progressive forces across Gombe North, Central, and South”, the party maintained.
