Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on Tuesday, expressed sadness over those who doubted the attack on him while wondering the benefit he would derive from raising a false allegation.
Ortom spoke in an interview with State House correspondents shortly after he met President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting came three days after Ortom’s convoy was attacked while on his way to his farm.
Buhari has since ordered that the attack which took place on Saturday be thoroughly investigated.
The governor told reporters that he did not pray that his worst enemy passes through what he went through.
He said Buhari had accepted some suggestions he made on the security situation in the state.
The governor insisted that he did not do anything wrong in enacting a law beneficial to the state.
