A major fire outbreak has been reported at the popular Ibro Fish location inside the Riverplate area, Abuja on the New Year.
Though there is a conflicting report that it is Cake Hut that was on fire.
According to reports, the fire started from the Dunkeyard which is opposite the Ibro Fish.
The incident began immediately after a countdown event, when a massive burst of fireworks ignited nearby materials.
Eyewitnesses say the fireworks were followed by a sudden explosion of flames, which quickly spread to the Ibro Fish site from the adjacent junkyard.
An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the fire, with initial attention centered on the fireworks used during the countdown.
