The acting governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has been sworn in as the substantive governor of the state, NewsSpecng report.
Aiyedatiwa’s swearing in was conducted by the Chief Judge of Ondo state following the demise of late governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the early hours of Wednesday, December 27, in Germany.
The former Deputy governor who was in hometown for Christmas break had to rush back to Akure following the news of the demise of his principal.
Aiyedatiwa was made the acting governor following the recent medical trip of the governor.
Before then, the state had been enmeshed in political crisis before the intervention of President Bola Tinubu and the eventual transfer of power by the ailing Akeredolu.
