Governor Abdullahi Sule, was on Monday announced as the winner of the Nasarawa State governorship election.
Sule, a candidate of the APC in the last Saturday governorship election was announced winner by the Returning Officer of the governorship election, Professor Tanko Ishaya, having polled 347,209 to beat his closest contender, David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 283,016 votes.
It seemed the PDP candidate was cruising to victory in the early stage of the elections but the APC and a major comeback to clinch the win
However, the PDP expressed dissatisfaction with the results, saying it would seek redress in court, while the APC said it would also challenge the local government areas that the PDP won.
