Delegates of Study Group Six, Senior Executive Course 48 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, have commended the Cross River government for its sustained investment in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
The 17-member delegation, led by Prof. S.Y.B. Kura, made the commendation during a working visit to the Cross River Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency, CR-MEDA, in Calabar recently.
The group, comprising senior executives from federal parastatals and the Presidency, is in the state for a strategic study tour as part of SEC 48, 2026.
Welcoming the team, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of CR-MEDA, Mr. Great Ogban, said the agency has remained committed to expanding access to finance, capacity building and enterprise support across the state.
He listed key achievements of CR-MEDA in driving MSME growth, job creation and poverty reduction, describing the interaction with NIPSS as an opportunity for knowledge sharing and policy alignment.
The delegation later toured CR-MEDA’s facilities to assess the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, investment opportunities and tourism potential.
In appreciation, the NIPSS team presented an Award of Recognition to CR-MEDA for its contributions to enterprise development in Cross River and applauded the state government for its hospitality.
