As the momentum for the 2027 election takes shape, the People Democratic Party, (PDP) flag bearer and aspirant for Warri South II Constituency, Delta State House Assembly Barr Jemide Fabius Atie made a thank you visit to the constituency.
The erudite legal practioner cum politician was elected by consensus in the just concluded primaries of the party in the coming 2027 General Elections that took place at Ekpen Lane, Ajamimogha,Warri.
He thanked the members of the party for his emergence as a consensus candidate and promised an all inclusive campaign devoid of rancour and any form of division.
The candidate said he just want to thank them as it is not yet time of campaign but he will liaise with them from time to time for consultation until the whistle for the campaign sounds.
It will be recalled that during the election a member of the party,Mr. Ola Odeyemi of Okere Ward
moved a motion for the adoption of his candidacy and was supported by Mrs. Joyce Osunde a member from Okumagba 2 as a consensus candidate.
At the end of the exercise, Barr. Jemide Atie emerged as the consensus candidate of the party as he was returned unopposed.
Atie lauded the executives and members of the party while he
pleaded with them to join hands with him to actualize the dream and bring back the dividends of democracy.
The House of Assembly aspirant promised not to disappoint them for the confidence reposed on him and to ensure they are all carried along.
Amongst those present during the party Primaries are the Party Local Government Area (LGA) Chairman Mr. Austin Ejegi, Mrs. Esther Erhurhu ,State Woman Leader and the various Wards Chairmen in the constituency.
