The Cross River State Commissioner for Science, Innovation and Technology, Assoc. Prof. Justin Beshel, has constituted a 12-member committee for the disbursement of his 2026 bursary support to 100 students from Obanliku local government area.
The constitution of the committee was announced in a statement issued on Monday, September 22, 2026, by the Commissioner in Calabar.
According to the statement, the committee will be responsible for coordinating the entire bursary disbursement process across the 10 wards of Obanliku.
The Administrators of the committee are Associate Professor Benjamin Ambe, who will serve as Chairman, Hon. Sylvanus Anyawho as member, and Dr. Margaret Inde as Secretary.
The Ward Coordinators are Mr. Austin Ukukong for Bendi Ward 1, Hon. Benjamin Beshel for Bendi Ward 2, and Mr. Austin Unwanede for Bisu Ward.
Others are Mr. Fidelis Basake for Basang Ward, Supol Linus Afen for Bishiri North, Mr. Raphael Ugaji for Bishiri South, Pastor George Ejikang for Bebi Ward, Evang. Steve Atunkare for Busi Ward, Mr. Bright Ikamb for Utanga Ward, and Mr. Stanley Ejuaga for Becheve Ward.
Also appointed to the committee as ex-officio members are Mr. Kyrian Anafukang, who is the Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Obanliku Chapter, and Worldwide President of the National Association of Obanliku Students (NAOS), Comr. John Ashiwobere.
The statement added that further information on the modalities for the disbursement will be communicated in due course by the committee.
