_Amb. Nuraddeen Jidawa: Atiku Is a Man of Integrity, Maturity and Unwavering Democratic Conviction_
The Deputy Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State, Ambassador Nuraddeen Suleiman Jidawa, has backed the party’s 2027 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, over his pledge to restore petrol subsidy if elected president.
Jidawa said the proposal was timely, given the economic hardship confronting Nigerians, particularly the rising cost of transportation, food and other essential commodities.
He described Atiku as a man of integrity, maturity and democratic experience, saying his long-standing knowledge of the former vice-president had convinced him that he would honour his campaign commitments.
“I know Atiku Abubakar very well. He is a man of integrity, maturity and a true democrat. I am confident that he will fulfil the promises he makes to Nigerians,” Jidawa said.
He said Atiku’s proposed subsidy framework, which would focus on targeted and accountable support for domestic fuel production, demonstrated the ADC’s commitment to finding practical solutions to the country’s economic challenges.
Jidawa urged Nigerians, particularly voters in Jigawa State, to support the ADC and vote for its candidates at all levels in the 2027 elections.
“This is about rescuing the country from economic hardship, rebuilding our institutions and restoring hope to Nigerians. I therefore urge our people to vote for ADC candidates at all levels,” he said.
