Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has made a heartfelt plea for financial support as she battles a serious health condition that has left her hospitalised for the past three weeks.
The actress, in an emotional video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, revealed that she has been enduring severe pain and urgently requires three surgeries, saying her condition has deteriorated beyond what she can handle alone.
Appealing to fans, colleagues and well-wishers, Nwosu said she fears for her life if she does not receive timely assistance.
“My people, fans and family, I know you have not seen me in circulation for some time. I have been hospitalised now for three weeks. Please, the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help, don’t let me die. I know that you people never forsake me and I know God will always see me through,” she said.
The actress disclosed that medical specialists have recommended three separate surgical procedures and urged anyone willing to support her treatment to contact her management.
“Because I am going through a lot in pain. I have three surgeries to go through with. Please, don’t let me die. If there is anything you want to do for me, please contact my management. Thank you and God bless. My sickness will never be anybody’s portion in Jesus’ name,” she added.
Although she did not disclose the nature of the illness, the latest appeal has sparked concern among fans and members of the Nigerian entertainment industry, many of whom have taken to social media to offer prayers and messages of support.
This is not the first time the celebrated actress has faced a major health challenge. In 2012, she publicly sought financial assistance after being diagnosed with kidney-related complications and a heart condition that required treatment abroad.
Her appeal at the time attracted widespread support, including a ₦4.5 million donation from the then Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, which enabled her to travel to the United Kingdom for medical treatment.
Following her recovery, Nwosu publicly expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government and Nigerians whose contributions helped save her life.
Her latest appeal has once again drawn attention to the growing concerns over healthcare funding for veteran entertainers, many of whom continue to rely on public goodwill during medical emergencies.
