Political parties are rushing to upload names of candidates on the portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
INEC had set July 11 2026 as the deadline for the exercise.
According to findings, major political parties in the country have been able to successfully upload their candidates on INEC portal, but this cannot be said of some other political parties as a host of the parties are yet to conclude selection of running mates for their candidates.
INEC had earlier opened its Candidate Nomination Portal for political parties to submit Form EC9 and other required documents for presidential, governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly candidate
