The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Governorship Candidate in Jigawa State, Senator Sabo Muhammad Nakudu, has concluded a two-day high-level stakeholder engagement aimed at consolidating political alliances and strengthening the party’s grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The consultations, held at his Dutse residence on June 13 and 14, attracted key political leaders, community stakeholders, media organizations, youth groups, and civil society actors, including the ADC State leadership, Hadejia Ina Mafita Initiative, Sawaba FM Hadejia, DC Hausa Online Media, the Nakudu Political Network, and former Gwiwa Local Government Chairman, Hon. Sale Ahmed Zauna, who recently defected from the APC to the ADC.

Speaking during the sessions, Nakudu expressed concern over Nigeria’s worsening socio-economic challenges, warning that young people would continue to bear the brunt of poor governance, unemployment, insecurity, and economic hardship if urgent reforms are not pursued.

He described the ADC as a credible alternative platform committed to delivering people-oriented leadership, sustainable development, economic prosperity, and inclusive governance.

The ADC flagbearer criticized the current administration over what he termed its failure to provide essential services such as potable water, stable electricity, quality education, security, and job opportunities, noting that access to clean water should no longer be a campaign issue over six decades after independence.

Nakudu urged citizens, particularly youths, to actively participate in the democratic process and support leaders with the vision and capacity to deliver meaningful change.

The engagements form part of the ADC’s broader strategy to expand its support base, build strategic partnerships, and mobilize grassroots support across Jigawa State ahead of the 2027 elections.
