The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria on the celebration of Eid-ul-Maulud, urging citizens to embrace the spirit of unity, peace, and nation-building in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In a statement signed by the Director of Communication and Media, Bala Musa, the Director-General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, described the commemoration of the Prophet’s birth as a moment of deep reflection and renewal of commitment to the values of forgiveness, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.

He noted that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was a true embodiment of compassion, unity, and peace, and urged Muslim faithful to draw inspiration from his life by promoting harmony within their communities.

“Unity among Nigerians remains a vital weapon in the fight against insecurity. When citizens stand together and actively support security efforts, our nation will be better positioned to overcome violence, restore peace, and build lasting stability,” Issa-Onilu stated.

The NOA boss further emphasized that adherence to the rule of law and collective responsibility are crucial in achieving sustainable development. He encouraged Nigerians of all faiths to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, stressing that the Prophet’s message of tolerance and justice is a guide to building a stronger, more united Nigeria.

While felicitating with Muslim faithful, Issa-Onilu prayed for peace, unity, and progress across the country. He also asked for divine wisdom and strength to guide President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he steers the nation toward growth and development.

The Agency reaffirmed its commitment to fostering national unity, civic responsibility, and positive values among citizens as Nigeria continues its journey of democratic consolidation and socio-economic advancement.
