The Itsekiri Vanguard of truth and Justice has vowed to resist any attempt to relocate Delta State Liaison Office of the Ministry of Regional Development, Location at Ajaetan Community, Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State:
Speaking exclusively to newsspecing news at Ajetan, the leader of the group combrade Tosanwumi Ajetan said “we want to vehemently express our total dismay, displeasure, and objection of the planned discontinuation and relocation of the same to another locality.”
According to him the building initiated by the NDDC which is now subsumed into the Ministry of Regional Development seats on an area of 1.109 hectares of land donated by the community and has gotten to the roofing stage when the contractor – Treapo Nigeria Limited was forced to vacate the site on the eve of the COVID-19 lockdown and they have not returned till date!
The group called on the Honourable Minister not to be deceived by the enemy of the Itsekiri nation to relocate it to their own community.
“It is disheartening for someone or a group of persons to have decided that a project that has reached a roofing level be discontinued, and a fresh contract be awarded for the same project in another locality”‘
This, if allowed, is not only going to be an injustice but a day light robbery on our peaceful community. It would also go to confirm that those we entrust with our resources are also the ones that seek to waste them” He said.
The group called on the minister intervention in the spirit of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration which is based on fairness, equity and justice.
