A resident of Abuja, Mr. Felix Anochirionye has said that until the Kubwa-Lugbe Road is completed before he will applaud the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike.

The road corridor to Kubwa passes through Gwagwa and DeiDei from Lugbe fruit market.

The project which was started years ago is far from being completed and thereby adding to the pains of Kubwa residents who would have to go through Zuba or the main town to access Lugbe.

Anochirionye, who was reacting to the various road projects executed under the President Bola Tinubu’ administration, expressed concern that not much attention is paid to the project.

The retired civil servant stressed that the Kubwa-Lugbe axis road is very crucial to the people of Kubwa.

He stressed that the money and time wasted in the travel process is huge.

He said: “Wike may paint all the roads in Abuja, light the streets and other somersaults, if he doesn’t link Kubwa with Lugbe, I mean if Kubwa residents still have to access Lugbe through Gwagwalada and Garki and vice versa, Wike will be just like every other past FCT Minister who never added value to residents of Kubwa.”

While acknowledging that work is still ongoing, he however said at the pace it is going that the project may not finish until next year or beyond.
