Unijos Alumni President calls for reflection on importance of Eid-el-kabir

The leadership of the University of Jos Alumni Association Global, has called on all Muslims faithful to reflect on the importance of the season, which is a reminder of the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and unwavering faith.

 

The executives led By Dr. Gad Peter Shamaki stressed that the season is not just to commemorate, but to embody the spirit of selflessness and service—principles that define both the legacy of Eid and the excellence of the UNIJOS spirit.

 

In a statement by the Alumni Global Public Relation Officer, Dr. Sunday Musa Onalo, the executive, therefore urged members to seize the moment to rekindle bonds, uplift one another, and promote unity across all lines.

 

The statement reads in part: “The National Executive Council, University Of Jos Alumni Association Global Led By Dr. Gad Peter Shamaki wishes to Congratulate all Muslim faithfuls on this occasion of Sallah .

 

“As the crescent moon is sighted and the faithful gather in unity, the University of Jos Alumni Association extends its warmest wishes to all our Muslim alumni, students, staff, and the entire UNIJOS community on the joyous occasion of Eid Mubarak .

 

“This sacred season is a powerful reminder of the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and unwavering faith. It calls us not just to commemorate, but to embody the spirit of selflessness and service—principles that define both the legacy of Eid and the excellence of the UNIJOS spirit.

 

“As proud ambassadors of our great alma mater, let us seize this moment to rekindle bonds, uplift one another, and promote unity across all lines. In the face of national and global challenges, may our collective strength and shared values lead the way toward progress, peace, and purpose.

 

“ May this Eid bring renewed hope, divine blessings, and the courage to lead with integrity and compassion.”
