Nigeria has come to stay as a nation, says Emir of Ilorin

The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, says recent situations of hardship in the country has improved and Nigeria has come to stay as a nation.

The Emir, stated this while receiving the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Malam Ali Muhammad Ali during a courtesy visit to his palace.

He stated further that due to intertribal marriages, it is now very difficult for any tribe to break-up from Nigeria.

Sulu-Gambari also emphasised the need for Nigerians to continue to harness information to address and improve the current situation in the country.

He said NAN had shown the capacity to help the country in the area of utilising information to further develop the nation.

He prayed for the NAN managing director that God will grant him a successful tenure in office.

Speaking to journalist on the purpose of the visit, Ali said is to look at the agency’s facility for upgrading so as to boost its operations and enhance productivity in Kwara state

He then solicited the support of the Emir and assured that the agency would continue to work assiduously to supply reliable and current information to the public.
