Obegolu innagurates Governing council of ACCI centres

The President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Dr. Emeka Obegolu, SAN, has inaugurated the Governing Council of the ACCI’s Four Centres.

The inauguration of the Governing Councils, according to a statement by Mrs. Olayemi John-Mensah, ACCI Mrdia/Strategy Officer, marks a significant step forward in ACCI’s mission to create a vibrant and resilient business environment, driving sustainable growth and prosperity for all stakeholders.

The Governing Councils will be responsible for the provision of leadership to drive the affairs of the Centers.

The centres and their leadership are: Nigerian Chamber of Commerce Dispute Resolution Centre (NCC-DRC): Chairman: Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, SAN and Vice Chairman: Mr Patrick I. N. Ikwueto, SAN

BEST Centre: Chairman: Professor Adesoji Adesugba and Vice Chairman: Barrister Ezenwa Anumnu;

Abuja Trade Centre (ATC): Chairman: Dr Johnson Anene and Vice Chairman: Chief Abiodun Odusanwo; and National Policy Advocacy Centre (NPAC): Chairman: Dr Aliyu Idi Hong and Vice Chairman: Engr Dozie Mbanefo.

Inaugurating the leadership of the centres on beglhalf of ACCI president, Professor Adesoji Adesugba, 1st Deputy President stressed the transformative potential of these Centers in shaping the business landscape not only in the Federal Capital Territory but also across Nigeria.

The statement further added, “Chief Obegolu stressed the strategic importance of each Centre, highlighting their role in promoting international trade, resolving commercial disputes, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation, and advocating for conducive business policies.

“He urged the newly inaugurated leaders to leverage their expertise and networks to drive the success of these Centers, thereby contributing to the overall prosperity of the business community. ”

In response, Dr Johnson Anene, speaking on behalf of the inaugurated leaders, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and pledged their commitment to the development and success of the Centers.
