Some aggrieved members of the New Nigeria Peoples’ Party (NNPP) in Billiri LGA of Gombe State have called for the removal of the State Acting Chairman, Rambi Ayala, over alleged anti party activities.

However, Rambi Ayala, in a swift reaction described the call as of no effect and said they are jokers used by the party’s opponents.

But addressing newsmen on Monday 25/03/2024 in Gombe where the aggrieved members described themselves as Billiri NNPP stakeholders, they read a communiqué which called for Mr Ayala’s removal.

The communiqué they read was issued “after the enlarged NNPP stakeholders meeting, Billiri LGC, Gombe State, held on Saturday 09/02/2024 at Billiri”.

Mr Amatiga Yila Naboth who read the communiqué, alleged that Rambi Ayala worked against the party’s electoral interest in the 2023 general elections.

He reiterated their loyalty to the leadership of the party in the LGA under Eld Ambrose Ismaila Mairungu.

“He led us through the Presidential, Gubernatorial, National and State Assembly election. Our LGC party Chairman worked tirelessly to reposition NNPP as the major choice and which manifested in our very successful outing thereby making Billiri LGC the heartbeat of our party and within a short period”, Mr Amatiga stressed.

But in his reaction, the State Acting Chairman of the party, Rambi Ayala, described those calling for his removal as moles that are being sponsored by the opposition, especially the PDP who he added are jittery of the rising profile of the ANPP.

According to him, “no NNPP member will go to the media with such allegations against me as far as I know except those who have become moles and sponsored by the opposition.

“Those allegations are figments of their imagination following my antecedents in NNPP. Those kinds of things happen. Remember some people did the same to our national leader Rabiu Kwankwaso which was not true. It happened to our State leader, Khamisu Mailantarki, that he sold his mandate which was also not true”, he pointed out.

Describing them as jockers, Rambi Ayala boasted that the NNPP in the State is very strong, united, solid and focused. He said the party is rebranding and ready for election at any level any time, any moment.
