FIFA has slammed a three year ban on former Spanish football, Chief Luis Rubiales for forcefully kissing Spannish World Cup winner, Jenni Hermoso on the lips.
Hermoso had claimed that the kiss was not consented to.
The former FA who was forced to stepped down has now been ban from all football related activities the the global governing body, FIFA.
“The FIFA disciplinary committee has banned Luis Rubiales, the former president of the Spanish Football Association (RFEF), from all football-related activities at national and international levels for three years,” world football’s governing body said in a statement on Monday.
Rubiales had kissed Hermoso on the lips during the presentation of medals to Spanish Women’s team that won the World Cup.
The action led to protest and condemnation in the western media which eventually forced him to step down from his position.
