6 Futas Club sensitizes youth on drugs abuse

6 Futas Club, an advocacy Non Governmental Organisation has embarked on sensitization programme against drug abuse.

The group is a movement of 6 Footer Women who are advocacy partners to NDLEA

The sensitization exercise is aimed at youth in secondary schools.

As the world anti drug day comes up on June 26, 2023; we are sensitising youths, especially of school age, on the ill effects of hard drugs in partnership with NDLEA ,” President 6 Futas Club, Kemi Olowoyo-Otegbade said.

6 Futas Club visited Funtaj International School, Gudu Abuja, along with representatives of NDLEA and addressed 400 students on ill effects of using drugs.

President 6 Futas Club, Kemi Olowoyo-Otegbade spoke on “Nipping it in the bud and how to resist peer pressure”.

After which, Florida Effah, a student of Funtaj School, recited a poem titled: Say NO to Drugs

Mr Femi Babafemi, Director of Media and Publicity of NDLEA, treated factors responsible for drug abuse and why youths should avoid them.

Afterwards, outstanding women leaders who have been supporting 6 Futas Women in the anti substance advocacy drive were recognised and given awards

6 Futas continues the advocacy drive by organising golf kitties themed after “SAY NO TO DRUGS” .
