NCC Gifts Oyo State College of Agric and Tech Student 100 laptops

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has provided the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igbo-Ora with 100 high-tech laptops.

The laptops were given under the leadership of NCC Board Chairman, Prof. Adeolu Akande, as part of the Advance Digital Programme for Tertiary Institutions (ADAPTI) to support research and teaching at the institution.

This development, NewsSpecng learnt will greatly enhance the quality of education and knowledge acquisition in the college, specifically in the Ibarapa geopolitical division of the state.

The ADAPTI initiative of the NCC, the source states further, is aimed at bridging the digital Information knowledge gaps that exist in the academia and facilitate remote research and learning between lecturers and students by providing computers, other ICT equipment, devices and connectivity infrastructure to enable the lecturers, staff and students acquire requisite ICT skills in the new digital economy ecosystem.

The initiative involves supply of laptops configured and integrated into the cloud laptop computers with e-learning suites in higher institutions across the country.

According to a source, the NCC has recently launched a variety of supportive programs and initiatives at multiple educational institutions in Nigeria.

These include the University of Ibadan, the Polytechnic of Ibadan, Ladoke Akintola University in Ogbomosho, Ladoke Akintola University’s Iseyin Campus, the Oke Ogun Polytechnic in Saki, Emmanuel Alayande College of Education in Oyo, Federal College of Education (Special) in Oyo, Federal Polytechnic in Ayede, Ogbomosho, and numerous secondary schools throughout the state.
