A man identified as Monday Alfred has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly being in possession of human parts.
The suspect was apprehended on Wednesday, May 17, by a police patrol team on Ori-okuta old Shagamu road in Imota, Lagos state.
The suspect and his accomplice were seen riding on a motorcycle at top speed towards Shagamu from Imota when the police stopped them for a search.
However, both men jumped down and fled into the bush. The police pursued them and were able to arrest Monday Alfred of Isale-Aye Araromi Mota while the second suspect escaped through the bush paths.
Upon searching Alfred, the police discovered two cut hands suspected to be human parts inside a liquid which appeared to be alcohol, inside a plastic bucket. His motorcycle and phone were also confiscated.
The police are currently making efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
