” We are in partnership with the CBN in all states  to store all our devices for the exercise.

“We have procured about 80% of the tablets for the exercise”

He added, “All the things we need to be in place are in place. In terms of preparation from our end , we are good to go”

He also said the commission has demarcated the entire country.

” We have demarcated the entire country into units. Our staff has finished with that” he said.

On the challenges faced so far, he said security was a major issue.

“We had issues with some communities in Borno during the demarcation exercise”

He said the places left for demarcation represent about 4% of the entire country.

“It’s about 4% of the entire  country that hasn’t been demarcated”

“We have sorted it out now though. We used a high breed technology to demarcate those places”

He stated that the security agencies have been of help and have promised to provide security during the enumeration proper.

According to him, all that is left to do now is more publicity. To ensure the public is mobilized for the exercise

“We are doing more on publicity and of course to train our enumerators and all those that will do the job” he added.
