Releated Post

It was a victory dance for the governors of Kaduna and Kogi State at the Apex Court on Friday.

The Court had ruled that the 200,500 and 1000 notes remain legal tender and should still be in circulation till 31st December 2023.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State Kogi State counterpart, Yahaya Bello and Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle were in court to witness the judgement.

Reacting to the ruling, Governor Yahaya Bello thanked everyone who supported them and said they are the heroes of democracy

When asked if the APC is confused seeing that they are taking themselves to court, Governor El Rufai said the redesign policy isn’t the policy of the Federal government but that of the PDP.

He said the CBN governor belongs to the PDP block.

” Emefiele belongs to the PDP block and the policy wasn’t that of the APC but of the PDP’

“Emefiele succeeded in deceiving the president that the policy was going to be successful” he added

“It’s unfortunate that the Attorney General of the Federation was in support of the policy but we know why”

When asked if the president will adhere to the court order, El Rufai said the president that he knows is law abiding and will obey the ruling.

He added that the president was misguided by his appointees  but he believes he will do according to the will of the court.

“We know some of them contested for the presidency but couldn’t get it , so this is like a repay. But we have overcome them”

He therefore urged everyone to go to their banks and collect all their monies.
