Mr Timothy Achanya, President of the organisation, said this when he led a delegation from OiSD, on a courtesy visit to the Director-General of the council, in Abuja.

Achanya said the partnership became necessary due to the various challenges faced by the girl-child, women as well as other citizens in the country.

He added that the visit was also to familiarize itself with the workings of the agency and to also collaborate for the overall benefit of the nation as a whole.

“Following our objectives of transforming conflicts and the outcry from law abiding citizens as it relates to rights abuses by states and non-state actors.

“We thought it wise to seek your collaboration and support in the following areas, such as third party insurance, women, girl-child and child’s law, abuse of rights or office by Vehicle Inspection Officers on our roads.

“Others are human right and legal aids for vulnerable citizens, alternative dispute resolution effort among others,” he said.
