Director General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR), Nura Sani Kangiwa has been honoured with the Tourism Icon Award.
The Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) is given him the award as part of the activities for the association’s celebration of the 2022 World Tourism Day.
The Award has been scheduled for Tuesday, 27th September, 2022 in Lagos.
The Tourism Icon Award is meant to honour key players in the industry for their impeccable contributions for the growth and development of tourism in the country.
In a statement by FTAN, they appreciated Kangiwa dogged pursuit in revamping effective manpower training in the hospitality Trades, Travel and Tourism industry of the country which has brought about improved service delivery in the industry.
Other distinguished personalities billed to receive the Tourism Icon Award alongside Nura Kangiwa are, His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and Chief Mrs Margaret Bolanle Fabiyi, a.k.a. Mama Webisco, who have distinguished themselves and their organizations in impacting positively on the nation’s Travel Tourism and Hospitality industry.
