Breaking: Independence Day: Over 120 Nigeria’s elders, leaders of thought gather for national reconciliation, healing

No fewer than 120 Elders and Leaders of thought across the country will be meeting virtually for National Reconciliation and Healing, NewsSpecng.com has gathered.

The Nigeria Political Summit Group, NPSG in conjunction with National Consultative Front are championing the parley.

Among the expected elders and Leaders are Emeka Anyaoku, TY Danjuma, Ben Nwabueze, Ahmed Joda, Ango Abdullahi, Tanko Yakassai, Alani Akinriade, Edwin Clark, Olu Falae, Bisi Akande, Audu Ogbeh, Balarabe Musa, Christopher Kolade, Graham Douglas, Inna Ciroma, Paul Unongo, Ayo Adebanjo,, Iyorchia Ayu, Solomon Asemota, ABM Haruna, Ndubuisi Kanu, Junaid Mohammed, John Nwodo, Obong Attah, Ghali Na’aba.
Others are Awolowo Dosunmu, Attahiru Jega, Ama Pepple,, Agbakoba, Pat Utomi, Zamani Lekwot, Donald Duke, Hakeem Baba Ahmed, Femi Falana,Tony Momoh, Obadiah Mailafiah, Josephine Anenih, 99 others.
The parley is expected run from 11am to 3pm on October 1st 2020, as part of the occasion to commemorate 60 years of Nigeria’s Independence.
They are to set up high powered commission to harmonise northern and southern positions on the Constitutional future of Nigeria

In a statement signed by Prof Pat Utomi, Chair of the Summit Organising Committee, a webinar invitation/pass has been sent to all shortlisted participants to enable them gain entry into the venue of the maiden virtual Pan Nigerian Confab.


The statement also clarified that a competent selection committee of the NPSG shortlisted 120 eminent elders and leaders of thought invited for the parley from across various nationality groups and special interest platforms to participate in this historic National Confab based on their sterling leadership credentials and contributions towards making Nigeria viable and workable.


“To this end, attendance at the historic Confab has been restricted to only these invited select Senior Citizens, Statesmen/Women and Leaders of thought in Nigeria to enable them fashion concrete and popular synthesis for Nigeria’s long standing democratic constitutional question as the emergency close door National Negotiation shall be expected to produce a high powered joint National Healing & Reconciliation Committee to further engage the Nigerian Peoples, Stakeholders, Government/ National Assembly on the nature and model of the people’s Constitution desired by all Nigerians towards a generally acceptable politico constitutional reforms for Nigeria”, the statement stated.
