President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday presented the 2021 budget proposal to the joint sitting of the National Assembly. President Buhari who was invited to the floor of the NASS to present the budget proposal by the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan said no new staff refeuitment will be carried out in 2021. He said only workers captured on the IPPIS will receive salaries in 2021. This he said was aimed at containing payment to non existing workers and thereby block some of the leakage in government revenue. Besides, he said those that contravene the no employment will be sanctioned. He also assured Nigerians that his administration will ensure the completion of ongoing project. This he said will be priority rather than new ones. He also said he was going to provide NASS list of critical projects that government must work to complete so as to deliver dividends of democracy to the people. President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday presented the 2021 budget proposal to the joint sitting of the National Assembly. President Buhari who was invited to the floor of the NASS to present the budget proposal by the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan said no new staff refeuitment will be carried out in 2021. He said only workers captured on the IPPIS will receive salaries in 2021. This he said was aimed at containing payment to non existing workers and thereby block some of the leakage in government revenue. Besides, he said those that contravene the no employment will be sanctioned. He also assured Nigerians that his administration will ensure the completion of ongoing project. This he said will be priority rather than new ones. He also said he was going to provide NASS list of critical projects that government must work to complete so as to deliver dividends of democracy to the people. He said the 2021 budget proposal contain only implementable projects. Buhari also said the government will address the issue of revenue leakages and ensure that funds are redirected to areas of importance . He said the ongoing verification exercise for IPPIS will continue. This, he said will address the issue of ghost workers. He stressed that completion of many ongoing project is the main thrust in 2021 and vowed to prioritise these projects. He also assured Nigerians that the administration understand the difficulties Nigerians are going through as a result of reforms in the petroleum Industry He however said the new petrol pricing regime, was aimed to make funds available for projects that will impact on lives. The much awaited Petroleum bill, the president said when passed into law has the capacity to attract investment and increase Government revenue. Other efforts to be out in place in the coming years include N420 billion in the 2021 budget to sustain the SIP. Besides, he said the CBN has reduced the interest rate in it's funding programmes from nine percent (9%) to five percent (5%) with one year maritorium, all in the efforts at addressing hardship in the country. He commending the harmonious relationship between Executive and Legialature. Meanwhile, the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan has said that the country's over 200 revenue generating agencies have so much inefficiencies in their system. Nigeria recorded zero COVID-19-related deaths in five days, as 103 new infections were recorded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control disclosed this on its official twitter handle on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The NCDC said that Nigeria\u2019s total COVID-19 cases are now 59,841.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a pathetic sight on Friday when a woman and her two children were brought out dead in suspicious circumstances from a rented shop in Kubwa, a Satellite town in the Federal Capital Territoty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was gathered that neighbours, who observed that the shop was locked from inside, informed policemen who broke the doors and found the victims dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dead bodies were subsequently evacuated to the Kubwa General Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a pathetic sight on Friday when a woman and her two children were brought out dead in suspicious circumstances from a rented shop in Kubwa, a Satellite town in the Federal Capital Territoty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has congratulated Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, on his reelection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gbajabiamila said Akeredolu's reelection has shown that both the Governor and his party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), have wide acceptance among the people of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besides, the Speaker said, Akeredolu's victory is a testament of his good leadership in his first tenure, calling on him to bring more dividends of democracy to his people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Speaker also commended the hard work of the Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who is the APC National Campaign Chairman for the Ondo state election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has dissolved the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) across the 36 State Police Commands and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) The dissolution followed national outcry over the brutality and abuse of Nigerians by the Police special squad. There have been nationwide protest to end the squad in the last one week. The IGP in a statement issued on Sunday, however assured Nigerians that a new policing arrangement to address anticipated policing gaps with the dissolution of SARS would be announced in due course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement which was signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, also said a strategic stakeholders forum will determine the way forward. It was a pathetic sight on Friday when a woman and her two children were brought out dead in suspicious circumstances from a rented shop in Kubwa, a Satellite town in the Federal Capital Territoty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was gathered that neighbours, who observed that the shop was locked from inside, informed policemen who broke the doors and found the victims dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dead bodies were subsequently evacuated to the Kubwa General Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The woman was said to have rented the shop not too long for bakery business. While another source said she had planned to open the business this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An eyewitness said, \u201cThe woman and her two children were found dead in her shop located along Arab Road, Kubwa, on Friday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNobody could say what led to their demise. It was a pathetic sight and a grave tragedy. We learnt the woman rented the shop not long ago.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another eye witness said that the dead bodies of the unnamed woman and her children were discovered by the police following a complaint by other traders in the vicinity<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She disclosed that the incident had caused apprehension in the area as speculations on the cause of death were rife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FCT police spokesperson, ASP Mariam Yusuf, said detectives had commenced investigation into the tragedy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She noted that investigation and autopsy would reveal the cause of death, pointing out that it was too early to speculate on the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
