The political crisis in Rivers State may be coming to an end.
President Bola Tinubu, according to reports, met with the main actors in the crisis at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President reportedly held talks with Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and other key leaders from the state.
Though no official statement on the meeting, it was however learnt that Governor Fubara has agreed to the leadership.
The governor was said to have accompanied Wike to his residence in Guzape, Abuja, after the discussions.
The report added that Fubara allegedly begged the minister, vowing never to show him disrespect again, signalling a potential reconciliation between the state’s powerful political figures.
Wike had at the weekend said Rivers State does not need the governor to join them in campaigning for Tinubu’s re-election.
