A business man, Leonard Tanuro Izobo Martins has raised the alarm over a threat to his life.
Izobo Martins said his life is being threatened by some unsuspected persons.
He who is the MD/CEO Olleon Projects Limited and also the Chairman of Living Faith Church Worldwide zonal fellowship committee of Abule Ishale zone in Iju-Ota Ogun state said the same assailants had once made an attempt on his life, which he narrowly escaped.
According to him, he was attacked alongside his friend Samuel Kuye, now late, on their way to Oode, a town in Ogun State in the evening of the 25th of October 2025.
The friend he said died as a result of the assault, while he narrowly escaped.
The businessman said he has since reported the case to the police at the Onipanu, Otta Police Station, Ogun State.
Narrating his ordeal, Izobo- Martins said his initial thought of the incident was that of a robbery gone wrong and not until the suspected assailants posted a write up on his gate threatening to get him down that he began to fear for his life.
Speaking on his ordeal from his hideout he said: “Leonard Tanuro Izobo Martins is my name, my ordeal. On the 25th of October 2025, my friend and I were ambushed. We were ambushed on our way to Oode, a town in Ogun State, some few kilometres from Canaan land, Living Faith Church, also in Ogun State.
“We were ambushed, unfortunately my friend lost his life, but I was fortunate to escape the ordeal. I thought it was a case of robbery gone wrong or a kidnap attempt or whatever. I never knew it was a targeted incident, because on the 12th of November, which is the following month, on getting home that very early morning, because I wasn’t at home the previous night, I saw a letter posted on my gate, that I cannot be lucky all the time, that my life has been paid for, that definitely I’m a target and that I can’t be lucky as usual.
“So this destabilised me and it now occurred to me that I’ve been living on the grace of God, because I’m actually a target, a target by those who I don’t know, a target I don’t know. I don’t know, maybe it was a political motive, I don’t know, maybe it was a business motive, I don’t know, maybe it was a religious motive, because in all I do, I don’t have issue with anyone in my business, as the managing director and the CEO of Orleans Project Limited, I don’t have an issue with any clients, and also as a member of a living faith church worldwide, which is known as Winners Chapel, I don’t have any issue with anyone. I am, as a matter of fact, the Zonal Fellowship Chairman of my fellowship in our axis, which is in Iju Ota, Ogun State, which is about a few kilometres from the living faith headquarter in kilometre 10, Idi Iroko Road, that is also in Ota.
“So this is still a puzzle to me. It has really destabilised me, made me mentally unstable, and gave me a cause to worry and fear for my life.”
He said the situation has forced him to go underground.
He said he has for now abandoned his house, adding that he is not just feeling safe and moving around.
“This has made moving around difficult for me as I can’t move freely from one location to the other. In fact I can’t sleep in my house anymore,”
“However, all these incidents were reported to the authorities accordingly, you know, but the police are working on it, but my life is at risk as I speak, I’m even, I’m unstable. That’s a major fact, I’m very, very unstable mentally, physically, and emotionally.
He called on the Police authorities and other relevant security agencies to look into the matter.
