FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO CELEBRATES DR. BABANGIDA ALIYU AT 70

Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has congratulated former Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, as he marks his 70th birthday on November 12, 2025.

In a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the farmer governor extolled Dr. Babangida Aliyu’s virtues, describing him as outspoken, courageous, and a role model to many.

He acknowledged the former governor’s remarkable contributions to the growth and development of Niger State and Nigeria, both as a seasoned civil servant who rose to the rank of Permanent Secretary in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and during his tenure as Governor of Niger State from 2007 to 2015.

Governor Bago noted that the legacies of Dr. Aliyu’s administration remain visible and beneficial to the people of the state. He further commended him for his maturity and statesmanship in supporting the present administration, despite political differences, for the collective progress of Niger State.

While appreciating Allah for granting the former governor a fruitful and impactful life, the farmer governor described reaching the age of 70 as a significant milestone a reflection of divine grace, favour, and mercy.

He prayed for continued divine guidance, good health, and greater wisdom for Dr. Babangida Aliyu, urging him to remain an inspiration to younger generations through his dedication to public service and leadership.

Governor Bago reaffirmed his administration’s respect and support for the former governor, acknowledging his enduring commitment service to humanity and the development of the state.
