Honorable Rambi Ibrahim Ayala, an APC stalwart in Gombe State, has assured political stakeholders in Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency of a fair and responsive representation if given the mandate to serve in the National Assembly.
He gave the assurance during a grand party celebration for his 53rd birthday while responding to calls on him to contest for the Balanga/Billiri House of Representative seat in 2027. The ceremony was organised in his honour over the weekend by a political pressure group, the Gamzakin Tangale Solidarity Group, held in Gombe.
Rambi Ayala, a former Member of the Gombe State House of Assembly on the PDP banner, believes Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency has been lagging far behind in terms of getting it’s fair allocation due to poor representation. A trend, he promised to turn around.
While promising his total support and cooperation to support whoever the Tangale elders present, Rambi strongly pointed out that by 2027, anybody who wants to be a friend of Tangale should stand by Tangale, adding, “whoever they put forward for us, me and my entire supporters shall rally behind him”.
Rambi is also of the strong opinion that the Tangale nation should not be absent or silent in the political scheme. “Let them be part and parcel, let them be on the negotiation table to chart on what affects them and their future. It’s not about me, in the next political dispensation, Tangale nation should rise up for the challenge. I believe APC will allocate Tangale its fair share”, he said.
While appreciating the Tangale-Waja elders for their advise and guidance to him, Barrister Ayala prayed and wished President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya well on their commitments towards providing dividends of democracy to the People of Gombe State and Nigeria.
Among the high profile politicians that graced the birthday party were the former Chairman of Billiri Local Government Area and 2023 NNPP Gubernatorial running mate, Hon. Hamma Tanimu Abubakar who described Ayala as a man that is equal to the task, considering his capacity and track records in service to humanity, particularly in the Tangale-Waja community.
Hamma Tanimu appealed to Rambi Ayala to accept their call and contest in the Federal House of Representative seat for Balanga/Billiri. “It’s not a matter of whether he likes it or not, it’s a matter of who is the right person for the task.
“When it’s time, we shall show the world that we have made a mistake in the past and we shall correct it”, Hamma Tanimu emphasized.
Other dignitaries who also gave goodwill messages were, the Former Speaker, Gombe State House of Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Sadik Ibrahim Kurba; former PDP Chairman of Kaltungo LGA, Hon. Sama’ila Baba; a former State legislator for Shongom East Hon. Lawan Shongom; Senior Special Advisor to the State Governor Sama’ila Obadia; Hon. Gandi Solomon, a former State legislator; wife of the Former Deputy Governor, Abigail David Albashi who all congratulated Barrister Rambi Ayala, while expressing confidence in him to deliver at any capacity.
Also present were some traditional leaders such as the District Head of Komta, Barrister Sa’idu Mu’azu Kumo; a representative of the Village Head of Koɓuwa, Marilyn Ankale Yelyel among others.
Another highpoint of the celebration was the bestowment of a traditional title of ‘Gado da Masun Toɗi’ by the District Head of Todi, a development that added another feather to his series of traditional titles.
Special birthday gifts and well wishes were presented to the celebrant by youth and women groups as well as individuals. Salutations and praise singers added color to the celebration.
