Osun State leads in the ongoing pre-registered online for the Continuous Voter Registration with 393,269, according to data from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

A total of 1,379,342 Nigerians have so far registered online in the last one week.
The pre-registered online for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise commenced August 18 2025.

The Commission’s first weekly update shows that:
• Osun State recorded the highest number with 393,269 (28.51%) registrations.
• Lagos State followed with 222,205 (16.11%), while Ogun ranked third with 132,823 (9.63%).
• The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) also posted a strong turnout with 107,682 (7.81%).
• At the bottom of the table were Ebonyi (261), Imo (481), and Enugu (484).

In terms of demographics, the breakdown revealed that:
• 717,856 registrants (52.04%) are female, compared to 661,846 (47.96%) male.
• Youth aged 18–34 dominate the process, contributing 860,286 (62.37%) of the total.
• Students represent the largest occupational group with 374,534 (27.15%).
• 27,089 persons with disabilities (1.96%) also registered.

INEC said the strong participation reflects growing enthusiasm among Nigerians, particularly young people, to engage in the democratic process.

Meanwhile, in-person registration commenced today (Monday, August 25) across 811 INEC State and Local Government offices nationwide, offering citizens the opportunity to either register physically or complete online pre-registration.
