Soludo defends support for Tinubu, cites 22-year friendship

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo Tuesday said he has “no apologies” for supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, despite their different political affiliations.

Soludo, speaking to journalists after a meeting with the President at the State House in Abuja, emphasised that his alliance is based on a long-standing friendship and shared “progressive ideals.”

The former Central Bank Governor, stated: “I have no apologies about it. President Tinubu is my friend, has been my friend, (for) 22 years now and counting.

“So, you don’t deny your friend. He is my friend. I support him, I am impressed by the bold steps he has taken, particularly in the area of the economy.”
