Nigeria has praised Chad Republic for its role in promoting peace and security in the region.
The Federal Government in a felicitation message on the occasion of Chad’s Independence Anniversary assured that both nations will continue to work closely to advance prosperity for their peoples.
In a goodwill message, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, conveyed warm wishes to his Chadian counterpart, His Excellency Mahamat Saleh Annadif, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chadians Abroad and International Cooperation.
Tuggar also “ lauded Chad’s resilience, unity, and commitment to patriotic leadership, noting that these values have continued to define the nation’s progress since independence. He highlighted the deep-rooted bilateral relations between Nigeria and Chad, built on shared history, cultural ties, and mutual cooperation, which have strengthened solidarity within the Lake Chad Basin, the West African subregion, and across the African continent.
“Nigeria reaffirms its commitment to deepening collaboration with the Republic of Chad in all areas of mutual interest, particularly in trade, security, education, and regional integration under ECOWAS and the African Union,” the statement read.
The Minister also praised Chad’s steadfast role in promoting peace, stability, and development, especially through its active participation in the Multilateral Joint Task Force (MNJTF). He expressed optimism that both nations will continue to work closely to advance prosperity for their peoples.
