The Ondo State Police Command gave a gory narration of how a landlord, Oladele Femi, allegedly masterminded the kidnap, rape, and murder of two students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA).
The victims — 25-year-old Abah John Friday and his 19-year-old friend, Okah Andrel Eloho — were reported missing on June 20, 2025.
A formal complaint was filed four days later by the legal team representing one of the families.
A breakthrough came when investigators traced an iPhone 14 Pro Max belonging to one of the missing students to a suspect, Abdul Mohammed Mubarak, in Lagos.
Mubarak admitted buying the phone from Ojo Michael, who was arrested in Aramoko-Ekiti along with a Lexus RX 350 owned by the victims.
During interrogation, Michael confessed that the students were abducted and killed on the instructions of one of their landlords.
He also admitted to sexually assaulting the female victim before both students were murdered, saying they were executed after the female student recognized one of the attackers.
The police say they are continuing their efforts to arrest the final suspect, recover the body of Abah John Friday, and ensure that all involved face justice.
