*Recovers Firearms, Camouflage uniforms, toy Gun, others*
The Adamawa State Police Command has again recorded a major breakthrough in its fight against violent crime in the State .The arrest of the suspected armed robber is as a result of a complaint made by one Ibrahim Maikano that the suspect threatened to kill him.
On the strength of that, Operatives of the command attached to Numan Divisional police headquarters, led by the DPO apprehended the suspect Zephaniah Alfred, 29years, who was on the wanted list of the command for Armed Robbery activities, terrorizing Numan-Gombe Road and its environs.
A search warrant was executed at the House and premises of the suspect resulting to the recovery of the following items:-
1. One (1) locally made pistol
2. Two (2) AK-47 live ammunitions
3. One (1) pistol live ammunition
4. One (1) live cartridge
5. A pair of military camouflage uniform
6. Four (4) military camouflage caps
7. Two (2) military camouflage T-shirts
8. One (1) black torch ligh. All the recovered items are now been treated as exhibit.
The suspect is currently in custody and aiding investigation.
The Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, Psc (+), while working in synergy with the Brigade commander 23 Military brigade, Yola, to unravel the activity that makes the complainant and the good people of Zangun worry, is committed to ensuring the safety and security of residents across the state.
The suspect will be prosecuted as soon as investigation is completed.
