In a massive membership drive, the Gombe State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Comrade Adamu Abubakar Modibbo, has led a foremost youth activist and philanthropist, Mubarak Hamisu Usman into the party’s fold.
Presenting Hon. Mubarak to the National Chairman of the SDP, Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam, in the party’s headquarters in Abuja, Comrade Adamu along with the State party Secretary, Dr Bashir Abdullahi, described Mubarak as a member that is capable of making positive contributions in the SDP.
Formerly a staunch Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member, Hon. Mubarak said his decision to join the SDP was driven by a commitment to addressing Nigeria’s pressing challenges.
According to him, the SDP presents the best platform in addressing Nigeria’s economic hardship, insecurity, and youth unemployment. He also described the SDP as a platform for credible, people centred leadership.
He called on Nigerians, particularly the youth, to remain hopeful, engaged, and active in shaping a better future through political participation.
Hon Mubarak said pitching his political loyalty to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), officially marks a new chapter in his political journey dedicated to advancing the development of Gombe State and Nigeria as a whole.
