In a groundbreaking achievement, Prof. Danjuma Sale a Fellow of both the prestigious West African and American Colleges of Surgeons and the esteemed Medical Director of Epson Hospital in Kaduna, has been appointed as the newest Professor of Neurosurgery at Kaduna State University.
An indigene of Gwong Chiefdom, Jema’a Local Government Area (LGA) in Southern Kaduna.
This remarkable feat makes him the first individual from Kaduna State to attain this prestigious academic rank.
Prof. Sale’s appointment is a testament to his dedication, exceptional contributions to the field of medicine, and tireless efforts in advancing healthcare in the region. In October 2014, he became the first specialist neurosurgeon from Kaduna State. Since then he has performed several neurosurgical operations in many public and private hospitals in the State. Together with his team has performed some complex operations in the brain and spinal cord which were only possible outside the shores of the country. As the Medical Director of Epson Hospital, located at AU 6 Benin Street off Kano Road Kaduna, he has been at the forefront of providing quality healthcare services to the people of Kaduna and beyond, earning him a reputation as a leader in the medical community.
His elevation to the rank of Professor of Neurosurgery not only marks a significant personal achievement but also brings pride to the people of Gwong Chiefdom, the entire Southern Kaduna region and Kaduna State. It highlights the region’s growing contributions to the academic and healthcare sectors, demonstrating that talent and excellence can emerge from every corner of Nigeria.
