A one time minister of Aviation Chief Osita Chidoka has sent message of congratulations to Ghana former President and now President elect John D Mahama for his victory.

He said the team tireless effort , that did not take no for an answer was the key to the well deserved victory.

The former minister and one time FRSC commander in his verified X handle on Sunday 8 December while congratulating the president elect said the campaign team showed doggedness “especially my friend @JoyceBawah Mogtari”

Continuing he wrote ” In 2014, President Mahama, during his first term, accepted my invitation as a Guest Lecturer to the Federal Road Safety Commission Annual Lecture series. Due to a foreign trip, he sent his then-vice president late, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, to represent him at the 5th Annual lecture.

When his Vice President briefed him on the technological innovations he saw at the FRSC, President Mahama invited me to Ghana and subsequently sent a team of Ghana senior officials to visit FRSC and understudy Nigeria.

In my engagements with him, I found him remarkable in his love of data and process-driven approach to governance. We also shared a love of Chinua Achebe’s books. I got an autographed copy of his book, My First Coup D’Etat: Memories from the Lost Decade of Africa, during my last visit to him as President in 2014.

Earlier this year, when we met at the Delborough Hotel Lagos, I predicted his victory as the Mahama team worked hard, and the ELECTORAL COMMISSION OF GHANA is truly independent and capable of conducting transparent elections.

Based on tallies from polling stations, Vice President @MBawumia Mahamudu Bawumia conceded defeat. No fake BVAS number. No collation miracle. @inecnigeria any lessons?

At the inauguration, I agreed with President Mahama that he and President Tinubu would act as judges to settle the jollof rice controversy. Nigerian Chefs get ready; I will conduct the primaries to choose the Nigerian representative(s).

Resilience, doggedness and perseverance pay. I salute the courage and determination of President John Mahama—a lesson in focus and conviction.”‘
