The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has distanced itself from the purported 40 million mortgage pre-financing by HXAFRICA & Federal Mrotgage Bank of Nigeria.
NiDCOM in a disclaimer issued on Friday said should there be any announcement on the Diaspora Mortgage pre-financing, it would do that along with Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria.
The disclaimer which was signed by Mr. Abdur-Rahman Balogun,
Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, therefore said the post was false and fraudulent.
The statement titled: “RE: 40 MILLION DIASPORA MORTGAGE PRE-FINANCING (DMPF) BY HXAFRICA & FEDERAL MORTGAGE BANK OF NIGERIA” reads: “This is to warn members of the public that the above post, is totally false and fraudulent.
“Any announcement on the Diaspora Mortgage Pre-financing will be announced by both the FMBN and NIDCOM on the websites and social media handles of both agencies.
“While the company has applied to be part of the proposed programme, it has not been granted any approval.
“To ensure the protection of potential beneficiaries of the Diaspora mortgage scheme, both agencies are at the final stage of concluding arrangements with the CBN.
“Please beware of fraudsters and await genuine information from only the FMBN or NIDCOM or both.”
