Kebbi Emirs congratulate Gov. Idris over ANAN fellowship award

The four Emirate Councils in Kebbi State, have jointly congratulated His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu for the prestigious fellowship award conferred on him by the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).

This is contained in a press statement signed by the Secretary, council of chiefs laminu shehu kuwwa and made available to Newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.

The Secretary quoted His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gwandu, who is also the Chairman, Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Iliyasu-Bashir (Rtd) as saying this in a congratulatory message to the governor.

“On behalf of all the four Emirate Councils in Kebbi State, we wish to tender our warmth and sincere felicitation to His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu over the recent fellowship award conferred on him by ANAN.

“This award justifies your hard work, dedication and zeal for transparency and accountability in steering the affairs of the state,” the royal father said.

While describing the award as a well deserved honour, the traditional ruler attributed it to the unwavering commitment of the governor to improve the wellbeing of his people.

“The emergence of His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris as the best Governor of the year is a manifestation of his hard work and prudent management of resources,” he noted.

The Emir also seized the opportunity to express gratitude to the members of the association both at the state and national levels for finding Gov. Idris worthy of the prestigious award.

He attributed the award to the exemplary leadership style exhibited by the governor, which according to him, paved the way for a landslide victory in the choice of Gov. Idris.

“As you begin your tenure, we pray that God Almighty will grant you the wisdom, strength, and courage to fulfill all your campaign promises and uplift the lives of Kebbi people.

“May your administration be marked by unprecedented development, peace, and prosperity across the 21 local government areas of the state.

“We acknowledged the significant roles you are playing in supporting the traditional institutions across the state. Therefore, we are proud to have you as the governor of Kebbi State,” the Emir said.
