There are indications that a new pump price would soon be announced for the country.
Though the sector has not been regulated since the official announcement of the subsidy removal.
NNPCL had pegged pump price in its outlets between N500 and N617 across the country.
However, on Tuesday 3 September 2024, some NNPC filling stations in Lagos and Abuja were observed to havr adjusted the pump price of fuel from N568 to over N800 per litre.
NewsSpecng Tuesday morning that some NNPCL retail stations in Lagos are selling fuel between N865 to N897 per litre.
Fuel queues have been prominent in major cities in the last few weeks with Nigerians unable to get fuel.
The NNPCL at the weekend admitted it was owing over $8billion fuelling speculation that there may be increase in the pump price of fuel.
