The mother of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’Adua, has died.
She was 102.
The news of her death was confirmed by a family friend Hamza Saulawa on Monday.
Saulawa told Radio Nigeria that the centenarian died at her residence at Yar’Adua in Katsina State, after a protracted illness.
She will be buried in the afternoon on Tuesday 3 September in Katsina State.
She survived by four children, including the senator representing Katsina Central, Abdulazeez Musa Yar’Adua.
Others are: Suleiman Musa, Hajiya Hafsat Musa, and Habiba Musa Yar’Adua.
The deceased is also survived by dozens of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
