President Bola Tinubu on Monday 5 August 2024 had closed door meeting with heads of security and paramilitary operatives .
The National Security Council meeting has in attendance the Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Christopher Musa, the service Chiefs and other military and paramilitary heads.
Also at the meeting are Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun among others
The meeting is coming amidst the nationwide protests against hunger and bad governance.
President Tinubu had on Sunday in a national broadcast pleaded with the organizers of the nationwide protests to suspend especially as it has gone violent in some states with the attendant loss of lives and destruction of property.
The President also warned that he would not sit and watch some people used by opposition politicians to destroy the democracy in the country.
