Rotary president urges increase humanitarian services in Nigeria

Rtn (Barr) Frances Ibanga President of Rotary Club of Abuja New Dawn district 9125 has called for a significant increase in humanitarian services to improve the standard of living in Nigeria.

The club president said this during her investiture/installation ceremony as the 11th President of the Rotary Club on Monday in Abuja.,

Emphasising the importance of community support and aid, Ibanga highlighted the pressing need for collaborative efforts to uplift the nation’s most vulnerable populations.

She also outlined key areas where enhanced humanitarian services could make a substantial impact on the lives of Nigerians.

These areas include access to healthcare, education, clean water, and economic opportunities for sustainable development.

“Our humanitarian projects in Nigeria as a club will be focusing on multiple areas such as maternal and child health, water sanitation, and environmental sustainability.

“We will be doing a lot in medical care, health center renovation, and empowering women and vulnerable groups through mentorship and campaigns against drug abuse.

“We will also organise seminars on mental health awareness and depression prevention.

“We believe that it is important to address
issues in marginalized communities, and
We also call on all relevant stakeholders’ support and individual contributions to spread these projects and move our community and society forward,”Ibanga said.

Meanwhile, Outgone President, Rotn Sylvester Nwanna who was represented by Rotn Pat Grace Owusi said that organizations and individuals can play vital roles in driving positive change and addressing the challenges facing Nigeria.

“We believe that by working together and pooling resources, it is possible to create a more equitable and prosperous society for all citizens.

“As Nigeria continues to face social, economic, and health challenges, the Rotary President’s message serves as a rallying cry for increased compassion, solidarity, and support for those most in need,”Owusi said.
