The Embassy of Sweeden on Monday reiterated its commitment to the promotion of gender equality and Economic empowerment of women in Nigeria.
Already, the Embassy in collaboration with Global Wissen Consult, a Swedish/Nigerian social development enterprise has lined up an international Women’s Day evevent.
The event is aimed at celebrating the progress made and highlight of what
still needed to be done.
The embassy stated in a statemebt that the event is set to be a presgious gathering of key stakeholders and change-makers committed to advancing gender equality and
women’s economic empowerment.
The inmate event promises to embody the theme of this year’s Internaonal
Women’s Day “Count Her In – Economic Empowerment & Inclusion, Policies &
Educaon”, which resonates with the global call to acon for inclusive
parcipaon and empowerment of women, across economic and policy
spheres.
The event aims to serve as a dynamic pla0orm for robust discussions,
networking opportunies, and the exchange of ideas on crical issues
surrounding gender equality, economic empowerment, policies, and educaon.
Through engaging dialogues, parcipants will gain exclusive insights into
innovave approaches to gender equality and learn about aconable strategies
for fostering inclusion, economic empowerment, and policy advocacy.
