Gombe NSCDC Commandant conferred with ‘Ethical Leadership and Conduct Award’

The Gombe State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mohammed Bello Muazu, has been conferred with the award of Ethical Leadership and Conduct Compliance award by the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation.

By this, the Commandant now holds the title of ‘Ambassador of Ethics and Conscience’ (AEC).

Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation, is an international anti-corruption Non Governmental Organization that majors in exposing corruption, promoting ethical leadership, providing ethical education and value orientation of global citizens.

The Award was presented to the NSCDC Commandant in Gombe by the Executive Director of the Centre, Ethicist Prince Salih Musa Yakubu who said, Mohammed Bello Muazu was ranked and enlisted among 100 most ethical and upright, least corrupt professional in governance at sub national levels in Nigeria.

He stated also that other criteria used in the selection for the award included, contributing to citizens well being, national interest, volunteerism, integrity, internal security, Corps visibility, operational ethics, compliance, staff discipline and welfare, despute resolution, conflict prevention, emotional intelligence, innovative skills and zero tolerance to corruption.

According to Prince Salih Musa, the award is the highest honor of the Centre reserved for people with impeccable character and unblemished ideals who change narratives positively.

Similarly, the Gombe State Command of the NSCDC was also conferred with a Corporate award, that is, ‘Compliance Award 2023’, having been ranked the first in the Northeast and also among the top ten Command’s in the country.

This followed the result of the Center’s multi sectorial independent secret assessment exercise conducted in the 36 States of the Federation in 2023.

In his response, Muhammad Bello Muazu, thanked the center for finding him worthy of the award and recognition, which stems from his exceptional track record and unwavering dedication and commitment to duty. He also thanked the centre for the recognition and award to the State Command.
