The Boko Haram insurgents have devised new method of attack to beat the eagle eyes of the security outfits that have been decimating them .
According to very reliable sources, the outlawed group invaded Zabarmari farmers of Borno State with cutlasses and knives to stab their victims,killing unspecified numbers.
The heavily armed terrorists stormed the rice fields and attacked the farmers who were harvesting their farm input in the villages of Koshebe, Karkut and Bulabulin in Mafa local government area, less than 20 kilometers from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region that the terrorists who were on motorcycles divided themselves into three groups before attacking the farmers.
The sources said that the attackers had used cutlasses and knives to stab the victims in multiple parts of their bodies.
The attackers avoided use of guns inorder to avoid the sounds and alerting the security.
Nine bodies were recovered as of (Sunday) night while the search for others who fled the attacks was still ongoing.
Security forces and Civilian Joint Task Force groups in the Nigerian North East of Borno are searching for persons who went missing after an attack by Boko Haram insurgents who killed several Zabarmari farmers working in rice fields on Sunday.
